IMAAD
'Agony Aunt' Service - Project Information and Feedback Page
Below you will find information on our project to launch an advisory service in Reading. Please take a look and let us know if you think this would be a useful service for Reading's Muslim community. Project Proposal Info Do you sometimes have something you would like to talk about but do not know who to talk to? Have you ever felt that you wanted to tell your family/friends something but were afraid of their reaction? Do you sometimes feel that nobody understands you? If the answer to any of the above questions is YES, then IMAAD might be able to help you!!!
To ensure that everyone has at least one way to gain advice, IMAAD is looking to start a free correspondence help and advice service for those many among us who need advice about an issue and do not know where to seek the answer from. · The aim is to publish letters requesting advice in the IMAAD newsletter so that everyone can benefit from the advice given. After all, we can guarantee that others will also be experiencing similar issues! · The service will be anonymous - no one will know that you have written in to the service as all names and any identifying bits of information will be removed prior to publication. · In some sensitive cases, we would be willing to keep the request confidential. · The service will be run by a qualified British-born and raised Muslim psychologist who will be able to provide you with an appropriate response. Before we start running this service, IMAAD needs to know if this kind of service will be required by readers of its newsletter, and, if so, how to provide the best service. Please complete the following questionnaire and return to advice@imaad.org by 31st July 2003. Many thanks in advance - we look forward to receiving your responses soon!!!
