IMAAD is organised into a series of 'projects', with each project headed up by a project area leader. It is the responsibility of the project area leader to lead and deliver initiatives in their area through their teams.

The principle projects IMAAD works on are Networking, Careers, Education and Islamic Knowledge. Projects outside these areas are also initiated from time to time, as members come up with particular initiatives they want to execute. These are organised in the same way as the core projects.
