IMAAD 6-a-side Football Tournament III

Rules and Regulations

  • Firstly, studded or moulded stud boots MUST NOT be worn. This damages the university playing surface and if worn, any charges for damage will be given straight to the offender. Imaad accepts no liability for this.
  • Each team must consist of NO MORE than 6 players playing on the pitch at any time. Violation of this will result in a penalty for the opposing team.
  • Rolling substitutions are allowed and so players may be brought on at any time. A player must come off before another is brought on however, so ensure only 6 players are on the pitch at any time.
  • Each team must have a goalkeeper who may not go outside of his area. If he does a PENALTY for the opposition will be the result.
  • The goalkeeper can be switched during or between games. If during a game then it may only occur with the referee's consent.
  • The ball may go over head height at any time, there are no ball height restrictions.
  • Pass backs are not allowed, the keeper can play the ball after receiving it from his own team member but he must not pick the ball up.
  • Fouls committed inside the goalkeeper's area by the defending team will result in a penalty for the opposition. There is NO two step rule for penalty takers.
  • The referee's decision is final. Each referee will be doing the best job he can so please give him your support by abiding by his decisions.
  • Each game will be 10 minutes long
  • Results and scorers must be given to the referee by the team captains at the end of the game.
  • Drinks and sweets will be on sale during the game, feel free to buy them as all proceeds go back to Imaad but please put your litter in the bins provided.
  • Finally, Imaad hopes that all teams remain for the duration of the tournament no matter what stage they reach. Imaad would appreciate your supporting the final games to create a good atmosphere and to witness the trophy and medal presentations at the end. Remember, ultimately this is a charity tournament to be played in a competitive but friendly spirit.
